AI eye color test
AI Eye Color Test
The AI eye color test uses a vision model trained to recognize iris pigmentation. Drop in a photo or use your front camera, and within a second the model returns your eye color family, an RGB value for the dominant iris hue, a confidence score, and the rarity percentage of your shade.
How AI identifies eye color
Traditional eye color charts rely on human judgment under variable lighting. An AI eye color test removes that subjectivity: a vision model isolates the iris, computes the dominant color in RGB, and classifies it across the six recognized color families. The same model can also describe iris texture features — crypts, furrows, pigment dots — and estimate melanin level, all from a single photo.

Frequently asked questions
- What AI does this eye color test use?
- We use a state-of-the-art vision-capable LLM through the Vercel AI Gateway. The same class of model used in major image-understanding products.
- Is the AI test better than a human chart?
- For consistency, yes — the AI gives the same answer every time for the same photo, while humans disagree on hazel vs. green or gray vs. blue routinely. For interpretation, a human can read context the AI misses.
- Does the AI store my photo?
- No. The photo is sent to the vision provider for a one-time analysis with zero data retention. We do not save it server-side either.
